soft(spaces)

a private membership club centering the residential & communal experiences of BIPOC, the LGBTQ+ community and our allies.

who we are and what we do

soft(spaces) is a community-centered initiative dedicated to creating inclusive and supportive environments for BIPOC, the LGBTQ+ community & our allies by providing spaces for our members to:

• Create: Bring ideas into existence

• Commune: Share experiences

• Rest: Relax, refresh & recover

• Play: Engage in activity for enjoyment & recreation

We are a Black, queer and woman owned private membership club, incubating an ecosystem centered around more intentionally curated & consciously approached methods to sharing & accessing space.

OUR WHY ~

OUR WHY ~

Why soft(spaces)?

soft(spaces) was born from a deep passion for creating intentional spaces and fostering community. What began as a love for curating meaningful guest experiences through Airbnb naturally evolved into a journey of learning how to steward both communal and residential spaces with care.

Since hosting our first Airbnb guest in 2018, we’ve focused on crafting residential experiences that go beyond accommodation. We've discovered that when people have access to spaces that truly center them, they’re able to thrive in areas of their life that may otherwise be neglected.

We center BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks because, historically, these communities have been forced to create spaces for themselves on the edges of society – a narrative that soft(spaces) is actively re-writing.

Why a Membership Club?

Starting in January 2025, soft(spaces) will be operating as a private membership club offering our members exclusive access to our residences, communal spaces, events, experiences and products. We have decided to utilize a membership club model because it allows for a more sustainable, community-driven ecosystem that aligns with our mission to center community engagement and offer our members amenities that prioritize flexibility, ease and meaningful connections. Unlike traditional business models, a membership framework gives us the room to cultivate a space where folks are more invested in the collective experience, not just as consumers, but as active participants.
